Renault's ambitious 2030 strategy targets global expansion. The French automaker plans to increase annual Renault-brand vehicle sales to over 2 million units by 2030, up 23 percent from 1.63 million in 2025, with half sold outside Europe compared to 38 percent currently. The company will launch 36 new models in five years, including 14 international models, and develop 16 pure electric vehicles representing 44 percent of its lineup. Facing intense competition from Chinese players like BYD and Chery, Renault is leveraging partnerships with Geely for South American and South Korean expansion while relying on in-house technology for European products. The strategy includes a new EV platform launching in 2028 with range-extender capabilities reaching 1,400 kilometers.
