Insurance DataLab releases first recommended insurers ranking based on new performance metrics. Only nine insurers achieved the designation, evaluated through the Insurer Performance Index measuring claims, complaints, solvency, and underwriting. Simplyhealth Access leads with a score of 822 out of 1,000, followed by AIG UK at 789 as the highest-ranked multi-line insurer. The top performers include Starr International Europe, Alwyn, and Sabre, with scores ranging from 772 to 764. This new benchmarking system provides consumers and businesses with clearer visibility into insurer reliability and financial stability, marking a significant development in industry transparency and accountability standards.
