Hotel and restaurant stocks face supply chain headwinds. Indian Hotels, EIH Limited, and Ventive Hospitality posted modest gains Tuesday, but most hospitality counters declined as commercial LPG supply disruptions rattled investor sentiment. Jubilant Foodworks fell 1.28 percent, Chalet Hotels dropped 0.49 percent, and Mahindra Holidays declined 0.68 percent. Food delivery platforms Zomato and Swiggy also slipped. The selling pressure stems from the Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Associations flagging widespread disruptions in commercial cooking gas supplies. The Petroleum Ministry responded by constituting a three-member committee to review LPG allocation across sectors. The government has prioritized domestic household supplies while directing refineries to maximize production to ease the shortage.
