India's LPG supply remains stable despite misleading reports. The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas firmly refuted claims suggesting a four-year recovery period, calling such assertions inaccurate. The government has secured 800 TMT of assured import cargoes from diversified sources including the United States, Norway, Canada, Algeria, and Russia. Domestic production surged 40 percent following the March 9 LPG Control Order directing refineries to maximize yields, raising daily output to 50 TMT against total requirements of 80 TMT. Distribution networks delivered an average of 50 lakh cylinders daily in March with zero shortages reported across any distributorship. The booking-to-delivery cycle remains stable at 5-6 days. Infrastructure expansion over the past decade strengthened resilience significantly, with connections increasing from 14.52 crore to 33.
