Government raises commission rates for wheat and paddy procurement agents in Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan effective April 1, 2026. Arthiya commission for wheat in Punjab and Haryana increases to ₹50.75 per quintal from ₹46.00, while Rajasthan sees a rise to ₹45.67 per quintal from ₹41.40. Paddy procurement commission jumps to ₹50.61 per quintal from ₹45.88. Cooperative societies also benefit with wheat commission raised to ₹29.79 from ₹27.00 per quintal and paddy to ₹35.30 from ₹32.00. A committee comprising FCI, state governments, and the Department of Food and Public Distribution recommended these revisions to support procurement efficiency and intermediary services during the Rabi Marketing Season 2026-27.
