Delimitation Warning from BRS Leader
KTR, the BRS leader, has warned that delimitation could spark massive agitation in South India if it results in injustice to southern states. He reiterated the party's unchanged stance on protecting regional interests during boundary redrawing processes. The warning comes as the government pursues ambitious goals including securing 850 Lok Sabha seats and implementing a women's quota bill from 2029. The delimitation exercise, which reallocates parliamentary constituencies based on population changes, remains a contentious issue with southern states concerned about potential loss of representation. BRS continues to advocate for fair treatment of all regions in the redistricting process.
