Stellantis reports massive 20.1 billion euro loss in second half 2025. The automotive giant, maker of Jeep and Peugeot brands, booked 25.4 billion euros in total writedowns last year as it scaled back electric vehicle ambitions. CEO Antonio Filosa attributed the results to overestimating the pace of energy transition and vehicle quality issues from previous cost-cutting measures. Despite net revenues rising 10 percent year-on-year, adjusted operating income turned negative at 1.38 billion euros. The company expects 6.5 billion euros in cash payments spread across four years starting 2026 and suspended dividend payments. Stellantis forecasts mid-single-digit revenue growth for 2026 but warns industrial free cash flows will not return positive until 2027, signaling ongoing challenges in the automotive sector's EV transition.
