The Abu Dhabi-based carrier announced it will restart commercial flights from March 6, 2026, reconnecting the region to major global destinations including London, New York, Bangkok, Sydney, and Tokyo. The decision follows extensive safety assessments conducted with regional authorities. Etihad will operate a limited schedule through March 19, with all services subject to airspace approvals. Passengers with bookings issued before February 28 can rebook free of charge through May 15 or request refunds. The airline emphasizes that safety remains paramount and flights will only operate once all security criteria are fully met.
