Sugar industry welcomes FRP increase for sugarcane. The Indian Sugar and Bio Energy Manufacturers Association has praised the government's decision to raise the Fair and Remunerative Price of sugarcane by ten rupees per quintal to three hundred sixty-five rupees for the two thousand twenty-six to twenty-twenty-seven season. The Association has reiterated its demand for aligning the Minimum Selling Price of sugar and ethanol procurement prices with the revised FRP to ensure financial sustainability across the entire value chain.
