JioStar terminates Bangladesh media rights over payment defaults. JioStar India has formally terminated its sub-licence agreements with Excel Lead IT Solutions, the parent company of T-Sports broadcaster, due to unpaid dues from IPL 2025 and WPL 2025 seasons. The agreements, originally signed between Viacom18 Media and later transferred to Excel Lead, covered digital media rights for Indian Premier League and Women's Premier League in Bangladesh through 2027. Despite providing full access to matches and enabling complete commercial exploitation, JioStar said Excel Lead failed to clear outstanding payments even after formal demands in January 2026. Following the cure period expiration without remediation, JioStar exercised termination rights, reverting all licensed rights.
