Maharashtra's Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced an ambitious economic roadmap at the CII Annual Business Summit, targeting a one trillion dollar economy by 2030. Currently contributing nearly fifteen percent to India's national GDP with a six hundred sixty billion dollar economy, Maharashtra aims to position itself as a global economic powerhouse by 2047. Fadnavis emphasized that the state's growth strategy will be driven by infrastructure development, innovation, talent acquisition, energy resources, urbanization, technology advancement, and institutional trust. This transformational approach represents a significant shift from incremental growth, as Maharashtra seeks to lead India's next phase of economic transformation amid global disruption and changing market dynamics.
