Kerala Congress (J) seeks ministerial positions in UDF government formation. The party, holding seven MLAs out of the UDF's 102 seats in Kerala's 140-member Assembly, has formally stated its demand for two ministerial berths during coalition negotiations. Party chairman P J Joseph confirmed the claim will be presented at upcoming UDF meetings in Thiruvananthapuram. The political development comes as the coalition prepares for government formation following recent elections. Joseph also indicated the party may seek an audience with the Governor as part of the process. Meanwhile, the Congress leadership faces pressure to select the Chief Minister from among elected MLAs, with three candidates currently under consideration.
