Jayen Mehta elected SPCDF chairman. Mehta, Managing Director of Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation, was unanimously elected as Chairman of Sardar Patel Co-operative Dairy Federation Limited. The federation, launched by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in July 2025, aims to strengthen India's cooperative dairy movement beyond Gujarat. SPCDF targets connecting over 20 lakh dairy farmers from 20,000 villages across 20 states into an organized cooperative structure. The initiative focuses on ensuring fair milk pricing, equitable voting rights, and access to modern services for farmers. Sangram Chaudhary was elected Vice Chairman. Both leaders will serve five-year terms. The board includes representatives from GCMMF and member unions, plus cooperative societies from Assam, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh, creating a nationwide network for dairy sector development.
