CBIC Sets Three-Day Deadline for Export Rebate Scrolls
The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs has implemented a strict three-day compliance requirement for generating RoDTEP and RoSCTL scrolls. This directive aims to streamline the export rebate process and accelerate payouts to Indian exporters. RoDTEP, the Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products scheme, and RoSCTL, the Rebate of State and Central Taxes and Levies scheme, are crucial support mechanisms for India's export sector. By mandating rapid scroll generation within seventy-two hours, CBIC seeks to reduce administrative delays that previously hindered timely rebate disbursements. The three-day window applies from the date of export documentation submission. This regulatory move demonstrates the government's commitment to strengthening export competitiveness and providing faster financial relief to exporters.
