The facility joins six other airports in the Civil Aviation Ministry's nationwide rollout. DigiYatra enables contactless and paperless travel through biometric entry points, significantly reducing wait times while maintaining robust data privacy and security standards. This technology represents a major advancement in airport operations and passenger experience, leveraging facial recognition to create a seamless journey through security checkpoints. The system was inaugurated remotely with live streaming in the terminal, and three passengers ceremonially used the DigiYatra e-gates to mark the occasion.
