Maruti Suzuki expands manufacturing capacity significantly. India's largest automaker has begun commercial production at its second Kharkhoda plant in Haryana, adding 2.5 lakh units of annual capacity. This brings the Kharkhoda facility's total capacity to 5 lakh units yearly. The company's overall production capacity across all four manufacturing locations now reaches 26.5 lakh units annually. The expansion aligns with Maruti's plan to add 5 lakh units during FY2026-27. Once fully operational, Kharkhoda will become one of Suzuki's largest four-wheeler manufacturing hubs globally. The facility currently produces the Brezza and Victoris SUVs. This capacity expansion demonstrates Maruti's commitment to meeting growing domestic demand and strengthening its market position in India's automotive sector.
