Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding with NMDC and Vale to develop an integrated iron ore blending facility at Gangavaram Port. The agreement, signed during the India-Brazil Business Forum Summit, aims to strengthen India's iron ore export value chain on the East Coast. The initiative will increase Gangavaram Port's capacity to 75 million tonnes, positioning it as a major regional export hub. The facility will feature mechanised berthing and cargo-handling infrastructure capable of accommodating Valemax vessels with capacities up to 400,000 tonnes, making it the first Indian port equipped for such operations. This collaboration reflects a strategic commitment to building resilient infrastructure that enhances India's position in global supply chains while supporting industry growth and economic development.
