Oil Ministry forms review panel for LPG supply allocation. The government has established a three-member committee comprising executive directors from Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum Corporation, and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation to examine liquefied petroleum gas requirements for restaurants, hotels, and automobiles. The move comes as India prioritizes domestic household LPG supply while managing geopolitical disruptions affecting fuel imports through the Strait of Hormuz. Refineries have been directed to boost LPG production using propane and butane streams. The ministry has implemented a 25-day inter-booking period for household supplies to prevent hoarding and black marketing. Non-domestic imported LPG is being reserved for essential sectors including hospitals and educational institutions.
