This acquisition strengthens the chain's South India presence during its 40th anniversary year. The IGBC platinum certified resort will add 19 villas in its first phase, bringing total inventory to 90 units. The company's board approved a Rs 231.2 crore investment in its subsidiary through equity share allotment at Rs 100 per share. The move reflects The Leela's strategic shift toward wellness-anchored, immersive hospitality experiences targeting affluent travellers seeking nature-connected luxury retreats in India's iconic landscapes.
