Hazer Group secures first graphite offtake deal with steelmaker. ASX-listed Hazer Group has signed a non-binding Letter of Intent with Green Steel of WA for up to 85,000 tonnes of graphite over ten years, commencing 2030. This marks Hazer's first commercial graphite offtake agreement with a steelmaker and represents a significant advancement in its graphite monetisation strategy. The pricing will be linked to landed anthracite prices minus five percent. Green Steel of WA is developing Australia's first low-emissions steel mill in Collie, Western Australia, with construction expected to begin in late 2026. Hazer's patented technology produces low-emissions hydrogen and graphite from natural gas, generating approximately 3.5 tonnes of high-purity graphite for every tonne of hydrogen produced.
