Lachlan Star Gold Discovery Strengthens Western Australia Project. Mining company Lachlan Star has identified visible gold and high-grade assay results at its New Waverley project in Western Australia, with rock chip samples returning up to 56 grams per tonne gold. The company has mapped a mineralised corridor of approximately 400 metres that may extend to 800 metres along strike. Dump sampling yielded even higher grades, peaking at 58.6 grams per tonne. The results support a Norseman-style structural gold system with cross-cutting quartz reef structures. Diamond drilling is set to commence this month to systematically test the largely unexplored 400m to 800m structural corridor, representing a significant exploration opportunity for the ASX-listed company.
