Andhra Pradesh launches quantum computing test beds. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will inaugurate two state-of-the-art quantum computer facilities on April 14, positioning the state as India's first with a dedicated quantum testing ecosystem. The 1Q and 1S test beds, built with indigenous technology at SRM University Amaravati and Medha Towers, will enable rigorous testing and certification of quantum computing hardware at temperatures near minus 273 degrees Celsius. This initiative strengthens India's self-reliance in deep-tech innovation and is expected to boost research, industry collaboration, and startup growth in the quantum domain. The open-access facility will benefit researchers, students, and companies developing quantum technologies, with support from leading institutions including TIFR, IISc, and DRDO.
