Wyndham Hotels expands India strategy with managed properties. The world's largest hotel franchising company is actively exploring selective management opportunities in India, where it currently operates 95 franchised hotels with 7,600 rooms. The company plans to add 50-55 hotels and 7,000 rooms within three years. Wyndham is shifting focus toward larger properties, increasing room counts from 60-65 to 100-120 rooms per hotel. The chain also plans to introduce branded residences to India within two years. With 12 brands already operating in the country and a strategic alliance with Cygnett Hotels expected to add 60 properties across South Asia over a decade, Wyndham is positioning itself to capture India's growing hospitality market driven by increased domestic travel and infrastructure development.
