Indian-Israeli celebrity chef Reena Pushkarna has become a notable figure in culinary diplomacy following Prime Minister Modi's recent visit to Israel. The Delhi-born restaurateur, who owns the renowned Tandoori restaurant in Tel Aviv, prepared the private dinner for Modi and received public recognition from Israeli PM Netanyahu. Netanyahu credited Pushkarna's establishment with playing a pivotal role in his personal life, noting that his first date with his wife Sara took place at her Indian restaurant decades ago. Pushkarna founded Tandoori in 1983 and has since expanded her restaurant empire across Israel and internationally, establishing multiple dining establishments under the Tandoori and Kohinoor brands in Singapore and Macau. The chef also operates a kosher frozen Indian food production business.
