Delhi air pollution curbs lifted as air quality improves. The Commission for Air Quality Management revoked Stage-I GRAP restrictions after the capital's Air Quality Index improved to 88, falling into the satisfactory category. Favorable meteorological conditions and recent rainfall contributed to the improvement. Forecasts suggest AQI levels will remain in the satisfactory to moderate range in coming days. Meanwhile, CAQM imposed environmental compensation of approximately 61.85 crore on six coal-based thermal power plants for failing to comply with biomass co-firing requirements. The plants were required to use at least a 5 percent biomass blend with coal but fell short during the 2024-25 review period.
