The broader selloff reflected weak sentiment with Put-Call Ratio at 0.66, below neutral levels. Coal India emerged as top gainer, rising 1.13 percent. Market breadth showed 1,395 advances against 1,103 declines among 2,667 traded stocks. Indices breached their 20-day exponential moving averages amid accelerating selling pressure following a weak opening.
